White Bunk Beds For Small Rooms
For several years white bunk beds were not the first choice for many families shopping for furniture. The beds reminded many people of less than pleasant experiences of childhood. However, there have been many changes to family units that have created an increased popularity in the use of bunk beds in homes.
Many families with children find that the popular themes for decorating a room change on a regular basis. Many times this means completely changing the color of the room as well as the furnishings to match the decor. Beds are one of the largest investments that a family makes for a child’s room and buying a new bed to match a changing decor theme can become very expensive.
When a piece of furniture is costly it is not practical to replace it each time a change in decor occurs. Many times a family will decorate around the piece of furniture so that it does not need to be replaced. However, when the theme of a child’s room is changing from one bold color to another it is necessary to have furniture that can change with it. A white bunkbed allows major color changes to be affected in a room without detracting from the new theme.
The design and style of bunk beds today allow for a wide range of uses within the space once allocated only for a bed. These bunks are being built with dressers, desks, and closets within the frame of the bed. The need to purchase these pieces of furniture is no longer necessary with the single investment of a white bunk bed.
The beds are also built with beds above and below, but in a captains style so there is storage space under the bottom bunk for clothing or visitors belongings. These beds make an excellent place to keep belongings of children who may be visiting the home regularly.
When children are part of a combined family and spend part of their time in another residence, a white bunk bed offers them the opportunity to always have their own bed which houses their special toys or keepsakes. The captain’s storage area also allows children to share a room without the need for two dressers and two nightstands. In a smaller room this frees up additional space that makes the room look much larger.
Because of the versatility of design and style with white bunk beds space no longer is the issue that it was in previous years. One can effectively combine many of the furnishings of a room in a small space that would normally be used only for a bed. With a dresser, bookcase, desk, and storage area within the area once used for a bed, an individual has a room that provides much more living space than one might expect.
